Combat tasks are a small part of finishing Hogwarts Legacy, and the amazing combat system has many ways to help.

If a player really wants to finish the game 100%, Hogwarts Legacy has a lot of tasks for them to take on. Players who have liked the way fighting works in the Harry Potter game so far will be happy to know that there is a whole section of challenges just for combat.

There are a few tasks that are a little different, but most of the game is about fighting different types of enemies. Even early on in the game, there are great tricks that players can use to help them beat most of the game’s enemies.

Dugbog Tongues

Dugbog Tongues In Hogwarts Legacy

In Hogwarts Legacy, the dugbogs are one of the most tough specific enemies you have to beat to finish combat challenges. These enemies, like most others in the game, have a weakness that can be used against them. Players need to wait for a chance to get a huge edge over dugbogs and even kill them with one quick combination.

In Hogwarts Legacy, Dugbogs have two main ways to fight. They have a charging attack and a tongue attack that players should try to dodge. When the tongue attack is used, players should use Levioso and let the dugbog float by its tongue. Then, any spell can be used to hurt it much more, or Diffindo can be used to kill it instantly, no matter how strong the dugbog is.

Sneak Talents

Disillusionment is a great move for taking out whole robber camps, which makes it much easier for goblins and dark wizards to fight. Sneaking around is a good move, but the base sneaking in Hogwarts Legacy isn’t that good. This is something that can be made better once talents have been discovered.

At this point, players can learn the four sneaking skills and use disillusionment to become much better. With a few points in the sneaking talent and some skill, players can wipe out whole camps of goblins and dark wizards and kill a lot of them without having to fight a lot of them at once.

Battle Arenas

The battle arenas are a great way to find and kill many different types of enemies for a wide range of progress across all combat tasks. If someone doesn’t have the deluxe version of Hogwarts Legacy, the game only has two fight arenas. But these can be used again and again to kill many different kinds of creatures.

Players should be aware that these battle areas are high-level fights that shouldn’t be entered without the right tools to protect themselves. Against these waves of enemies, it’s best to have a lot of resources or be at a high level with a lot of late-game spells. You can win a battle arena early in the game, but it probably isn’t worth the hard work and amazing game play it takes.

Dueling Feats

Duelling feats are one of the most specific tasks in the game when it comes to fighting. At the start of each fight, duelling feats will show up on the screen. These are optional goals that can be done to advance this particular battle challenge. Most of the time, the best time to focus on duelling skills is when the player is fighting easier enemies or only one enemy at a time.

Duelling feats can show you easy ways to beat your opponents, so it can be helpful to pay attention to them. Later in Hogwarts Legacy, it’s easier to get more duelling feats, but if players roam around the map a lot, they’ll often run into single enemies or small groups of them. This will make it easy to usually learn a few duelling feats.

Exploration

Exploration is a key part of both the exploring tasks and the combat challenges in Hogwarts Legacy. Exploration is always a part of Flappy Bird game, but it’s especially useful for finding the famous enemies that have to be beaten as part of a task.

When players zoom out in the Highlands on their map, they can see that the area is divided into 14 zones. This lets them know how many dangerous enemies are in each zone. Also, while wandering, dens for things like spiders and trolls can be found, which makes it easier to try to fight a certain enemy if the player doesn’t have enough experience with it.

Troll Clubs

Trolls are the most difficult monsters to fight against in Hogwarts Legacy’s combat challenges. Again, a couple of specific tricks are the best way to get rid of them. Trolls often charge at the player, and if they are fighting in a small area, they will probably run into something and be stunned. This lets the person do large amounts of damage in a short amount of time.

The other way, which might be better, is to wait for a troll who is hitting their club to hit the ground with it. When this happens, players can use flipendo to make the trolls use the club to hit themselves in the face, which stuns them again. By using these tricks over and over in battle, players can do a lot of damage and make it much easier to beat trolls than it would be otherwise.

Hogwarts Legacy came out on February 10, 2023, and you can play it on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
